Obama: Don't Be A Cowboy

President Barack Obama reminded the leaders of financial institutions and market players not to be a cowboy on Wall Street, during recovery time. It is feared that, with an attitude like that it would cause new problems.

The statement was made by President Barack Obama in the first anniversary of the fall of Lehman Brothers investment bank in the context of tightening regulation of the financial system, as quoted by the Associated Press (AP), Wednesday (15/9/2009).

As it is known, after saying that the economy entered a period of recovery, the stock index on Wall Street was mentioned to be an excellent venture for doubled profit after a loss.

After Obama spoke, the Dow Jones index close higher 0.22 percent, or 21.39 points to 9626.8 position. The Nasdaq index rose 0.52 percent or 10.88 points to 2091.78 and the index position of the Nasdaq S&P 500 rose 6.61 points, or 0.63 percent to 1,049.34 position.
